Milan Aleksic could be set for Sunderland stay as details over collapsed transfer emerge
Milan Aleksic had been mooted for a loan move away from Sunderland this summer.
Sunderland have had a good start to life back in the Premier League, though a lot of the focus remains fixated on the business done throughout the summer.
15 new players made the move to the Stadium of Light, with 12 forced to move on after falling down the pecking order.
It was believed that Aleksic would depart Sunderland on loan, though details over a proposed move which has since fallen through have now emerged.

Partizan failed to reach agreement with Sunderland for Milan Aleksic transfer
Aleksic joined Sunderland from Partizan last summer, but found it very hard to cement a place in the starting lineup under Regis Le Bris.
The Serbian registered an assist in Sunderland’s Carabao Cup defeat to Huddersfield, but then failed to make the matchday squad for the Premier League clash with Brentford the following weekend.
Not long after, a move back to Partizan was mooted for the 20-year-old, but according to Espreso, the move fell through as the clubs couldn’t come to an agreement.
Sunderland wanted a straight loan for Aleksic, whereas Partizan desired an option to buy him at the end of the season-long loan.
With foreign windows still open, there is a chance that Aleksic could still move on, though as of right now, a stay is looking more likely.

Sunderland need to find Milan Aleksic a temporary home
At his age, first-team football is essential, and after such a good start to the season, that isn’t going to come at Sunderland.
While playing for youth teams has its benefits, Aleksic is at a point in his career where he simply needs to be playing men’s football regularly.
Whether that chance emerges in the next week or so remains to be seen, and if so, Sunderland need to take it.
Otherwise, a chance to reassess the situation in January and find him a loan in England could be for the greater good, following a similar path to Patrick Roberts, who joined Birmingham City.
