Sunderland shouldn't sell Isidor to Everton: There are three reasons why they can't
Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor is reportedly a target for Everton this month.
Former Sunderland manager David Moyes is understood to have enquired about a move for the Frenchman.
Sunderland would want £25million to part ways with the 25-year-old, whom they signed permanently in the summer for approximately £5m.
On the face of it, is it difficult to see why Regis Le Bris' side would turn down that money, but there are actually several reasons.
Wilson Isidor exit would leave Sunderland short upfront
Sunderland have had a brilliant start to life in the Premier League, and Isidor has played a part in that.
The former Zenit St Petersburg star has notched four goals in 19 appearances in the top-flight so far, adapting pretty well.
If he were to depart, it would leave the Mackems with only two recognised forwards, with Brian Brobbey and Eliezer Mayenda.
While they look to be safe this season already, it would not be ideal to have the duo as their only striking options.

Sanctioning an exit for the striker could upset the balance of the squad, and cause the Black Cats to depart from their current trajectory, and they would likely need to buy a replacement.
Sunderland should be competing with Everton
Speaking of trajectories, the two sides seem to be on similar ones, both outside contenders for European places.
Le Bris' side are ninth in the division, with the Toffees just one place and one point behind them, so they are fighting for the same thing.
Therefore, selling Isidor to a side that is challenging around the same level seems like a pretty silly thing to do.
If Isidor was to move to Merseyside, then help the Blues to finish above the Mackems, and pip them to qualification for continental competition, it would prove to be a bad outcome.
Isidor is a great character within the squad
The Wearside ace is a popular figure in the squad, both in the dressing room and with the supporters.
Losing his influence would be a blow for Le Bris' side, as he can bring morale up when it is not at the right level, both for the rest of the team and supporters.
Speaking in December, the French manager praised Isidor's connection with the club, saying: "He's really well connected.
"He likes understanding the region and the identity of the club.
"He's emotional so he shows more than other players this connection. It's really positive for our fans."
He has a passion for the club that many players have lacked, and that would be sorely missed if he made the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
