Man United fans plead as major Ruben Amorim sack update drops ahead of Sunderland match
Sunderland take on Manchester United on Saturday, looking to heap more misery on Ruben Amorim’s side.
Sunderland travel to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon as they look for their second successive away victory.
Regis Le Bris‘ side has started brilliantly since their promotion to the Premier League, having lost only once in the opening six games.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have been terrible so far, having been defeated three times already this season, the latest being away to Brentford.

Manchester United fans beg Sunderland to win at Old Trafford
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is under huge pressure ahead of the Black Cats’ visit on Saturday.
Sunderland winning at Old Trafford could see Amorim sacked as teams head into the international break.
Many Man United fans have now taken an unusual turn, wanting their team to lose to Sunderland so that the Portuguese manager can be sacked.
Red Devils fans have voiced their wishes on social media, saying they “pray” their team lose, as they have no faith in Amorim.
Other Man United fans have just pleaded that Sunderland win, just so they don’t have to see Amorim in charge anymore.
Sunderland have been urged to win by some, who described the update on the Portuguese’s future as good news.
While Sunderland will be confident going into the game against a poor Man United side, it will still be extremely difficult to pull off the win.
Sunderland have poor record at Old Trafford
Sunderland are underdogs against Manchester United on Saturday, despite the form of the two sides this season.
The Black Cats have a dismal record at Old Trafford, winning just once there in the last 31 attempts.
The last win was in 2014, when Gus Poyet’s side won 1-0, via a first-half Sebastian Larsson strike.
- Sunderland’s last win against Manchester United was in February 2016, winning 2-1.
- United are unbeaten in their last 24 Premier League games against newly promoted sides
- Sunderland have won 42 of 145 games against the Red Devils
Sunderland may not be fancied for the win, given their record, but will go into Saturday’s clash with the belief they can pull off the result.
