Loic Bade decision made after latest Sunderland transfer update
Loic Bade has been linked with a move to the Stadium of Light in a deal that would be hugely beneficial to Sunderland
It is apparent that Sunderland are in desperate ned of defensive arrivals, having already seen several bids for Jhon Lucumi rejected this summer.
Bafode Diakite has also been linked, as has Bade, who featured for Sevilla against Sunderland earlier this pre-season.
However, while Sunderland have been pursuing Bade, several other clubs have shown an interest, and the Frenchman is believed to have made a decision.

Champions League appeals to Bade amid Sunderland interest
Sunderland have already attracted some incredible talent this summer, including Leverkusen’s Granit Xhaka, but they face an uphill battle trying to do the same with Bade.
That is because, according to Fussball Transfers (4 August), the Frenchman wants a move to a club that will be competing in the Champions League.
- Broke into Le Havre’s first team in 2019
- Joined Lens (Ghisolfi’s former club) in 2020 on a free transfer
- Moved to Rennes the season after, before completing a move to Sevilla
Bournemouth have also been in the race this summer, though Bade opted against a move there, with Bayer Leverkusen now on the table.
It will take a fee in the region of £26million to prise him away from the La Liga outfit, and it may be a case of the Black Cats having to look at other targets.

Sunderland are running out of time slowly but surely
Eleven days from now, Sunderland will host West Ham in the season opener, and it will be crucial that at least one new defender is through the door.
The Stadium of Light will be rocking, and the Wearsiders need to be fully prepared for the task that awaits them in the Premier League.
Whether a deal for Bade is pursued remains to be seen, but Sunderland absolutely have to accelerate their search in the coming days.
