Le Fee sparks concern in 3/10, best gets 7/10 – Sunderland player ratings v QPR

Sunderland failed to gain any momentum ahead of the playoffs with a 1-0 defeat at home to QPR.

The Black Cats entered the clash against QPR as favourites, knowing just how big a win would be for their playoff campaign, but that wasn’t to be the case.

Regis Le Bris named a strong starting lineup, but it did very little in the early stages, with QPR taking the lead inside five minutes with relative ease.

From then on, the performance matched the atmosphere; rather dull, with the visitors sealing all three points in a 1-0 victory.

Sunderland are sleepwalking into the playoffs

While form is often overestimated, entering the playoffs winless in six is not a good look at all, though that is the reality that faces the Black Cats.

If Le Bris is to get this side back in the Premier League, he needs to find a way to get them back playing the way that brought them success earlier in the season.

Sunderland’s record this season.

With the likely return of Romaine Mundle, they will be aided, but they will need far more than that if they are to put this horrid run of form behind them.

Results elsewhere mean that Sunderland will face Coventry City in the playoff semi-finals.
