Le Fee development could be the catalyst for Sunderland to achieve promotion
Sunderland have had to make do without Enzo Le Fee recently after the Frenchman picked up an injury against Hull.
Form has been hard to come by as of late for Sunderland, with their 3-0 defeat to Coventry City showcasing their regression over the last few weeks.
Nonetheless, promotion remains on the cards for Regis Le Bris’ side ahead of the final eight games of the season, though it appears as though the playoffs will be their only chance to redeem themselves.
However, their chances of achieving success through those means appear to have been boosted significantly with the latest update on Le Fee.

Millwall clash could see return of Le Fee for Sunderland
Sunderland have lacked that creative spark ever since the Frenchman picked up a knock in the defeat to Hull City.
The pressure has been on Romaine Mundle and Eliezer Mayenda at large to deliver the goods for the Wearsiders, though that appears to be set to change after Le Bris issued an update on the fitness of Le Fee.
Championship | W | D | L | P |
Sunderland (4th) | 19 | 12 | 7 | 69 |
All being well, the midfielder could be in line to make his return for the clash with Millwall upon the conclusion of the current international break, which would be a massive boost to their chances of achieving promotion.
Having been shoehorned in at the left-wing position in the absence of Mundle and Tommy Watson, not only would his return be a boost in terms of numbers, but also in terms of the influence he can have in the final run-in when playing in his natural position.

Sunderland need to find momentum in Championship
For so long, it appeared as though Sunderland’s fight for a top-two finish would go right down to the wire, but a lack of depth has been on show which has, in turn, led to Leeds and Sheffield United pulling away.
Eight points now separate the Mackems from the top two positions, while sitting nine points above fifth, all but securing their spot in the playoffs.
However, if success is to be achieved through those means, momentum and form need to be found immediately to ensure that they are heading into them with as much confidence and as much of an advantage as they possibly can.
If they can achieve that, there is every chance that Sunderland will be a Premier League club this time next season.
