Le Bris ‘in for a shock’ after what he did in Sunderland loss v Blackburn

Sunderland fans were left feeling furious following their latest defeat in the Championship.

The Mackems were defeated by a goal to nil against Blackburn Rovers, in what was considered to be a surprise result for most people, given the league positions of both teams.

However, it was the performance of Regis Le Bris’ men that was a bigger problem for most fans, with the team managing just two shots on target throughout the 90 minutes.

It is continuing a difficult run of form for the team, and Le Bris’ decision to tweak the team a lot isn’t going down well.

Sunderland are taking no form into the playoffs

The defeat against Blackburn marked the fourth game in a row that Sunderland have failed to win, with the Mackems suffering three defeats on the spin.

It’s a worrying situation for the club, because even though they have a playoff spot secured, they are putting no momentum together heading into it.

Form is often a huge factor in which teams end up winning the playoffs and earning promotion, and at the moment, Sunderland are set to head into those games with the worst of the bunch.

Le Bris’ men have scored just one goal in their past four games, and their lack of attacking intensity is something that supporters want to see change immediately.

Sunderland have just two games left this season against Oxford United and QPR to try and rebuild some confidence into the squad ahead of the playoffs, as poor performances in the semi-finals won’t be accepted by fans.

Regis Le Bris took some gambles against Blackburn

Le Bris opted to rotate his squad for the game against Blackburn, and that was a decision that ultimately backfired.

It was a lacklustre performance at the Stadium of Light, and fans were more than happy to voice their displeasure about the ongoing situation online.

Supporters have questioned the lack of momentum that the team has right now, as the worries regarding the playoffs are starting to be felt among the faithful fans.

Even though it has been an impressive season for Sunderland, the hard work isn’t done with a fourth-placed finish, and that is why supporters are calling out Le Bris, and demanding more.
