Le Bris faces Sunderland transfer dilemma after Mundle showing vs South Shields
Regis Le Bris has a decision to make as Sunderland look set to continue their summer spend.
The Frenchman has already welcomed several new additions, one being Habib Diarra, who made his debut as pre-season got underway on Saturday (12 July).
The Black Cats secured a comfortable 4-0 win against their neighbours with Wilson Isidor, Romaine Mundle, Milan Aleksic and Ahmed Abdullahi getting on the scoresheet.
It is fair to say that the performance of the English winger will raise more questions for Regis Le Bris as his side moves deeper into the summer window.
Mundle scores in pre-season v South Shields
It was clear to see the quality difference between the two outfits, with barely a minute on the clock as the Mackems took the lead early on.
This set the tempo for the game as the National League North club looked to play out from the back, regardless of constant errors.
As a result, the away side were able to secure a comfortable win on the opening day of pre-season ahead of a season in the Premier League.
With that being said, the performance of Mundle in the new blue away strip certainly caught the eye of many at the 1st Cloud Arena.
The 22-year-old was able to get on the scoresheet and showcase his flair and dribbling talents throughout his showing before ultimately being taken off in mass substitutions.
This is bound to raise questions for Le Bris, who may be considering his options when it comes to bringing in another winger this summer.
Le Bris has transfer questions to answer at Sunderland
There is plenty of excitement surrounding the signing of Simon Adingra, a deal which could prove to be bad news for the ex-Tottenham youngster.
That may not prove to be the case if Mundle can perform in the top division as he did on the opening day of pre-season against the Mariners.

His performance was superb and ultimately could have been even better, something which will only improve as match fitness builds.
As a result, bringing in a new attacking option may be put on ice, with the likes of Raheem Sterling linked to Sunderland.
