Kyril Louis-Dreyfus shares Sunderland January transfer plans live on air
Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has claimed Sunderland are “preparing for all scenarios” ahead of the January transfer window.
Sunderland had an excellent summer window, and their success is only showcased by the fact that they could move up to second in the Premier League with a win against Everton on Monday night.
However, business will still be conducted in January, and when talking live on air on Sky Sports, Louis-Dreyfus stated that their plans could change depending on the situation they find themselves in.
“Obviously, if we’re in the bottom three by Christmas or we’re in the top six by Christmas, that changes the ambition a little bit,” he said.
“We’re currently preparing for all scenarios, but we’ve been doing that since the summer, so hopefully we’ll be going into the January window with a top ten finish in mind, and we will prepare and execute the transfer window to give us the best chance.”

Sunderland will already have transfer targets in mind
If there is one thing that Sunderland have showcased under the ownership of Louis-Dreyfus, it is that they are always prepared for what is coming next.
This was demonstrated by Jobe Bellingham’s sale to Dortmund, as well as other big departures over the last few years.
Mackem News revealed that Fabio Carvalho is a target for Sunderland, and that is a deal that may make sense come January, depending on their situation.
The former Liverpool star could leave Brentford on loan, and his versatility could be crucial for the Black Cats, who will lose some of their star forwards to AFCON.
Louis-Dreyfus’s comments on Sky Sports suggest that plans are certainly already in place, and they will have targets in mind.

What do Sunderland need the most in January
Once again, this will largely be decided by what happens over the next two months, but a wide player will almost certainly be on the radar.
Simon Adingra has had a tough start to life at Sunderland, with Enzo Le Fee recently preferred to the former Brighton star on the left wing.
Bertrand Traore is yet to set the Premier League alight, while Chemsdine Talbi scored his first Sunderland goal in their win against Chelsea last weekend.
Three of those four mentioned will be going to AFCON in December, perhaps showcasing a lack of depth in that area.
