Kyril Louis-Dreyfus laughing as Chelsea already in contact to sign Sunderland star
Chelsea are the latest club to hold talks over a deal to sign Sunderland star Noah Sadiki.
Playing in the top flight for the first time since 2016-17, Sunderland’s brilliant start to the season has come as a result of excellent coaching and smart recruitment.
Sunderland made 14 signings in the summer transfer window as they looked to become the first newly-promoted club to avoid relegation for the first time since 2022-23.
The Black Cats are ninth in the table, and their new arrivals have adapted to the top flight with relative ease under Regis Le Bris.
One of these is Sadiki, whose fine performances have attracted interest from Man United and Chelsea, and owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus could be licking his lips at the prospect of a huge sale.

Chelsea join Man United in race to sign Noah Sadiki
Sadiki joined Sunderland for £14.6million after enjoying a brilliant season with Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.
According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri via X on Friday, the Blues are incredibly interested in signing Sadiki.
After Sunderland’s 2-1 over Chelsea on 25 October, Chelsea’s representatives reportedly held talks with Sunderland chiefs to enquire about Sadiki’s asking price.
Man United are also interested in signing the 20-year-old, with the DR Congo star an alternative option should the Red Devils be unable to afford a deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.
The asking price hasn’t been made clear, and even though they don’t want to let him go, Sunderland are guaranteed to make a huge amount of profit should they decide to sell Sadiki.
Louis-Dreyfus has overseen Sunderland’s remarkable rise from League One to the top flight, and he could be in for his first significant sale in the near future.
Sadiki has featured in every Premier League game for the Black Cats this season, and will be a huge miss as he goes off to AFCON with DR Congo after Sunday’s Wear-Tyne derby.
Sunderland set to reap the rewards from Noah Sadiki deal
Sadiki has always shown promise as a youngster, moving up quickly from the Anderlecht academy to the first team, before making a move across Brussels when he was 18.
Having already earned 11 caps for his country, he has proven himself to be an incredibly fit and athletic midfielder who has steered clear of major injuries in his career so far.
| Stat | Sadiki |
| Appearances | 15 |
| Pass accuracy | 84.8 per cent |
| Successful dribbles | 13 |
| Fouls won | 20 |
| Interceptions | 18 |
Despite being quite small, Sadiki is a powerful runner with the ball, and shrugs off bigger players with ease at times.
Some of the more established Premier League clubs are clearly taking note of his emergence, and this could leave the Black Cats securing the biggest paycheque in their history, eclipsing the £27.8million record sale of Jobe Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund.
The best thing for the supporters is that Sunderland’s positive recruitment could see them land an even bigger talent as Sadiki’s replacement.
