Jude Bellingham sends three-word message to Jobe after Sunderland promotion
Jude Bellingham was in immediate contact with his brother Jobe Bellingham after Sunderland’s dramatic Championship play-off final win over Sheffield United.
Jobe was part of the Black Cats side that fought back to win 2-1 at Wembley on Saturday (24 May) and earn promotion to the Premier League.
Tyrese Campbell had the Blades ahead before Harrison Burrows saw a goal ruled out for VAR in a difficult opening period for Regis Le Bris’ side.
But Eliezer Mayenda levelled proceedings and Brighton-bound Tommy Watson netted deep into injury time to complete the turnaround and book a spot back in the top flight.

Jude hails Jobe achievement as Sunderland Premier League-bound
Jobe played every minute of the Black Cats’ play-off campaign and started 39 of 46 games for Sunderland in the regular season.
His form has attracted interest from elsewhere with Real Madrid and a reunion with his brother among the reports.
But now he is in the top flight, Sunderland’s hand may have been strengthened and Jude’s immediate reaction was to share how proud he was of Job.
As reported by talkSPORT (25 May), Jude shared a screenshot of a FaceTime with his brother Jobe with an expletive-ridden three-word caption, saying he was “so proud” either side of an unpublishable word.
Jude added two red and white heart emojis and three “up” emojis.

Sunderland may face fight to keep Jobe
Borussia Dortmund are expected to bid for Jobe in the summer and if he leaves for Signal Iduna Park, the 19-year-old will follow in the footsteps of his big brother who spent three years there before joining Madrid.
The younger Bellingham was given his first England Under-21s call-up this year after impressing in the second tier.
His ability to keep possession, and his pace and power, will be something Sunderland will miss should they agree to a sale.
If he moves to the German side, he’ll get the chance to shine in the Champions League and would open up the possibility of facing off against his brother.
Meanwhile, the Mackems will be eyeing up possible replacements in the middle of the park. The experienced Tom Cairney from Fulham is one of the names who has been mentioned as they begin preparations for the tougher challenge of the Premier League next season..
It’s hoped that Sunderland’s promotion will keep Jobe grounded, especially if they spend big in the summer.
