Jobe Bellingham exit news emerges just before play offs at Sunderland
Jobe Bellingham’s long-term Sunderland future looks in doubt, with everything on the line this week.
While Regis Le Bris prepares the Black Cats for the playoffs, starting against Coventry on Friday, rumours continue to circulate regarding the Sunderland squad.
Chris Rigg has attracted plenty of interest this summer after a sensational campaign.
However, Bellingham’s future at the Stadium of Light has been under continuous speculation since his arrival in 2023, with an update from Germany now arriving.

Borussia Dortmund officials fly to England over Bellingham deal
Unfortunately, regardless of whether Sunderland are promoted to the Premier League or not, it appears that Bellingham could be leaving the Black Cats this summer.
The midfielder is now one of the most sought-after youngsters in the world, thanks to his performances at the Stadium of Light.

Real Madrid are just one team after Bellingham’s signature this summer as the youngster looks likely to move to a European giant.
However, it seems that Jobe may end up following his older brother’s footsteps as Borussia Dortmund intensified negotiations.
According to German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten (7 May), Dortmund manager Niko Kovač, managing director Lars Ricken, and sporting director Sebastian Kehl all flew into Newcastle on Wednesday.
The report claims this was to step up their interest in Bellingham and carry out negotiations with the Black Cats.

Bellingham’s departure from Sunderland inevitable this summer
While promotion to the Premier League will no doubt increase Sunderland’s stock this summer, it seems like it would not be enough to keep Bellingham.
It is hard to imagine the midfielder being at the club by the summer’s end, given the size of the teams pursuing the youngster.
If Bellingham is to leave, hopefully, the Black Cats get a big offer for the 19-year-old so they can reinvest properly into the squad.
Given the job Le Bris has done at the Stadium of Light, if the funds are reinvested into the team, Sunderland’s squad could be far more well-rounded next year.
