‘Isidor can be the difference for Sunderland’ after what happened to Norwich City

Wilson Isidor has the perfect chance to return to his best form as Sunderland travel to face Norwich City on Tuesday.

The Black Cats are preparing for a clash at Carrow Road on 8 April as they look to secure a third straight win in the Championship.

Regis Le Bris will be hoping for yet another positive result from his side just days after Trai Hume inspired his side to a 1-0 win at The Hawthorns last time out.

If the Mackems are to secure yet another three points on their travels, Isidor has to perform to his best level and could have the ideal opportunity to do so.

Isidor must step up for Sunderland v Norwich City

The Frenchman has been excellent throughout the season, but frustration has begun to grow with his lack of output in recent weeks.

Since 22 February, the 24-year-old has failed to score and has assisted just one goal despite making six Championship appearances.

This will need to change ahead of the playoffs as the forward needs to hit peak form ready for the two-legged clash and a potential final at Wembley.

That form may be handed a boost against Norwich after the Canaries conceded two in their last outing against Plymouth Argyle.

It is fair to say that Jose Cordoba had a tough day against the Pilgrims, which could prove to be a boost for Isidor at Carrow Road.

The Panama international started at the heart of defence but failed to win a single tackle while only contributing three defensive actions [FotMob].

This also saw him lose out on four duels as he was dribbled past twice, information which will surely leave Isidor licking his lips in the North East.

Sunderland can be confident of win v Norwich

The Canaries have little left to play for this campaign as they sit 11th in the second tier, with no fear of relegation or hopes of a playoff spot.

As a result, Johannes Hoff Thorup will have a challenge to keep his players motivated in the final six games of the season.

Le Bris will be hoping that his side’s motivation ahead of the playoffs will be enough to push his side over the line to secure three points in Norfolk.

Isidor needs to turn up and prove his worth as Eliezer Mayenda waits in the wings in hopes of a shot as a regular starter moving forward.
