Here’s how Sunderland could get Ruben Amorim sacked at Man United in hours

Sunderland take on Manchester United on Saturday as they look to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to five games.

Sunderland beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 last weekend for their first away win of the season, and continue their brilliant start to the season.

Regis Le Bris has led Sunderland to unimaginable heights early on this campaign, with the Black Cats currently sitting in the European places.

Man United have, in contrast, had another woeful start to the season, with last Saturday’s away defeat at Brentford the latest embarrassment for Ruben Amorim.

Sunderland win could see the end of Ruben Amorim

Sunderland have been predicted to win at Old Trafford, in what could be seen as an upset to some, but may be more likely than not.

A victory for Le Bris‘s side could have disastrous results in Manchester, with Amorim potentially not surviving another loss.

Writing in The Telegraph, James Ducker has reported that the Portuguese manager could face the sack if Sunderland were to win on Saturday.

According to Ducker, another defeat in United’s last game before the international break could “severely test the patience of co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazers”.

The article also goes on to say that “a growing number of players are losing faith in the manager to turn things around”.

Amorim has yet to win back-to-back games as Man United boss and has won just 34 points from his 33 league games at the helm.

Sunderland more than capable of beating Manchester United

Sunderland should go to Manchester full of confidence after their brilliant start, and the Red Devils are vulnerable.

Old Trafford will be under a weather warning at kick-off, and Sunderland will have to be wary of poor conditions during the game.

However, Sunderland have been brilliant defensively this season; only Crystal Palace and Arsenal have conceded fewer goals.

This defensive solidity will be crucial on Saturday, with Amorim’s side finding it difficult to break down defences and score goals.

Le Bris will set up his side to frustrate and pick off the hosts on the counter, and if successful, may just cause more chaos at Old Trafford.
