‘Ghisolfi to work his magic’ as Sunderland bid £25m+ for Real Madrid man
Florent Ghisolfi has only just arrived at Sunderland but could already be set to make a major impact.
The new Black Cats chief began his work in the North East on Thursday (3 July), having recently left his role as Sporting Director of Italian giants Roma.
Sunderland have already made a hugely impressive start to the summer by securing the signings of Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki.
They also tied Enzo Le Fee down to a permanent deal at the end of the previous season, with Régis Le Bris already looking likely to have a significantly stronger squad at his disposal in the Premier League.
Ghisolfi now looks to have his eyes fixed on another deal, as the Wearsiders line up a potential big-money addition.

Sunderland bid £25.9million for Gonzalo García
Sunderland’s recent signing of Diarra saw them set a new transfer record for the club, having already broken it once before this summer with the addition of Le Fee.
The newly promoted side are keen to splash their cash to give themselves a chance of survival in the Premier League, and yet another exciting link has now emerged.
The Mackems are understood to have placed a bid of £25.9million for Real Madrid’s young striker Gonzalo García, according to Fichajes (6 July).
A 25 per cent sell-on clause is also included as part of the offer, and this is thought to have caught the eye of Madrid.
Los Merengues have also been keen to ensure they retain a buy-back clause if they do sell García this summer, and as a result, an additional clause has been inserted at £34.5m.
Ghisolfi looks set to work his magic to sign García
Ghisolfi has arrived at the Stadium of Light with a big reputation, having also played key backroom roles at both Lens and Nice in the past.
It now looks as though he is already set to work his magic at Sunderland with the potential signing of García.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye at the FIFA Club World Cup, where he has notched four goals and one assist from five appearances.
Those performances have highlighted that he is ready for more first-team opportunities, whether that be at Madrid or elsewhere.
The youngster smashed 25 goals for Real’s B team last term and has established himself as yet another hugely exciting talent coming out of the Spanish capital.
If Sunderland could get a deal to sign him over the line, then it could prove to be a masterstroke from Ghisolfi to bring in such an impressive prospect.
