Florent Ghisolfi magic showcased again by latest Sunderland transfer reveal
Sunderland have benefited massively from the appointment of Florent Ghisolfi.
It’s been a seamless transition to Premier League football, and that is all down to the incredible business done by Sunderland throughout the summer.
The Black Cats broke records and raised eyebrows with their new arrivals, many of which were only made possible with the appointment of Ghisolfi.
It goes without saying, but Ghisolfi has played a massive role in the transition of Sunderland, and his impact has only been amplified by the latest reveal.

Sunderland summer signing rejected European giant
Sunderland saw off competition from some of the biggest clubs to sign the players they did in the summer, one of whom was Omar Alderete.
Alderete has already impressed at Sunderland and has since formed a formidable partnership with Nordi Mukiele in the heart of defence.
However, it could have been a different story, with the Paraguayan’s agent revealing on Versus Radio that Roma were in the market to sign him.
He said: “When the Premier League appears, and a historic club like Sunderland, there is not much to think about from our point of view.
- Joined Sunderland for £10million from Getafe
- Signed a four-year deal at Stadium of Light
- Already established as a starter for the Black Cats
“I had a meeting with Roma about Omar.
“For Omar, entering such an important team as Sunderland, even if they have just been promoted, we know the history and the new investment.
“For him to be one of the chosen players is a source of pride. The team started well, and he started super well. I think it was the correct step to take.”
He wasn’t the only star to turn down a European club to seal a move to Wearside, showcasing just how much of an impact Ghisolfi has had.

Omar Alderete has been quality for Sunderland
Alderete has only started three games for Sunderland, but you can already see just how crucial he is going to be.
If Sunderland are to avoid the drop, they need to be solid at the back, and he will certainly help their case.
Via Sofascore, the 28-year-old has completed 86 per cent of his attempted passes, with a 95 per cent accuracy of those inside his own half.
Defensively, Alderete has won 67 per cent of his ground duels and 44 per cent of those in the air.
With 4.5 clearances and 1.8 tackles per game, he has showcased his ability to contribute in the Premier League.
Long may it continue.
