Everything Regis Le Bris said about Sunderland controversy vs Man United
Sunderland fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Man United on Saturday, continuing their poor run against Manchester-based clubs.
Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko were on the scoresheet for the Red Devils in the first half, essentially killing any hope Sunderland had of getting back into the game.
However, the Black Cats thought they had been gifted a route back into the clash, only to see the decision reversed minutes later.
Sunderland were initially awarded a penalty at Old Trafford
Stuart Attwell was in the spotlight at Old Trafford, with a series of questionable decisions that went against the Black Cats.
One involved Bertrand Traore later in the game, who was adjudged to have dived, but it was one earlier that caught more attention.
Trai Hume thought he was fouled by Benjamin Sesko, and Sunderland were initially awarded a penalty for the coming together.
After a lengthy delay, VAR then overruled the original decision, and Regis Le Bris has since spoken out about the incident.

Via BBC Sport, the Frenchman said: “I haven’t reviewed it, so I don’t know, I don’t think it would change my opinion about the game.
“This game doesn’t define our start to the season. But when we are not at the level, I don’t think we can exist in this league.“
On the face of it, it would have been a remarkably soft penalty for the Black Cats, but whether it was a clear and obvious error to award it initially is certainly up for debate.

Sunderland’s away frailties on show vs Man United
Sunderland beat Forest 1-0 on their last away trip, though that is just one of four wins they have achieved away from home in the Premier League in their last 21 games.
Added to that, it was the third time this season they have failed to score away from home, and the 14th time in the last 21 games.
Sunderland will focus on their home form this season, but picking up points away from home is going to be just as crucial.
They have achieved that so far, but their inability to score on their travels will only restrict their ability to pick up what many will class as bonus points.
