Every Sunderland player on November international duty – Who they’re playing and how to watch

Sunderland have gained excellent momentum in the Premier League as their players head off to play for their countries.

Regis Le Bris has done an excellent job with the Black Cats, and few could believe that they’d be sitting fourth in the Premier League table after 11 games.

Sunderland are gaining all the plaudits for their fantastic start to the season, and 10 players have been called up for the international break.

Mackem News looks at which Sunderland players have been selected to potentially represent their country before the Whites return to action on 23 November.

Granit Xhaka and Dan Ballard among those called up

Granit Xhaka has been a revelation for Sunderland, and his influence at the heart of midfield has been vital to their impressive form this season.

Dan Ballard has been phenomenal this season, and his starring performance against Arsenal has once again secured him a call-up to the Northern Ireland squad alongside Trai Hume.

Robin Roefs and Lutsharel Geertruida are also involved with the Netherlands squad, as they take on Poland and Lithuania in their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Chemsdine Talbi and Reinildo have both been called up to their international teams, and they’ll face each other when Morocco plays Mozambique in a friendly on 14 November.

Arthur Masuaku has been called up to help DR Congo qualify fir their first World Cup in a huge playoff match against Cameroon, and should they win, they would face either Nigeria or Gabon on 16 November.

Omar Alderete joins up with Paraguay for their friendlies against the USA and Mexico, whilst Bertrand Traore will also feature in Burkina Faso’s friendlies against Niger and Benin.

Listed below are the ways that you can watch some of Sunderland‘s international stars.

How to watch Sunderland’s stars on international duty

Roefs and Geertruida are in action on 14 November when they take on Poland in their World Cup qualification campaign, with a kick-off time of 19:45 GMT, before a 17 November clash against Lithuania at the same time, with both matches only available to watch on Amazon Prime’s pay-per-view service.

Ballard and Hume are in action at 19:45 on 14 and 17 November, with their matches against Slovakia and Luxembourg available to watch on BBC Three, BBC Two (Northern Ireland), and iPlayer.

Talbi and Reinildo will face off at 18:00 on 14 November, yet the match won’t be televised in the UK, and their respective friendlies against Uganda and Chad are also not available to watch.

Traore’s friendlies for Burkina Faso are at 13:00 on 14 November, and 11:00 on 18 November, yet neither match can be viewed in the UK.

Xhaka‘s Switzerland plays both of their matches at 19:45 on 15 November and 18 November, and the match against Sweden is available via Amazon Prime’s pay-per-view service.

Masuaku’s playoff against Cameroon is at 19:00 on 13 November, and that match is unavailable to watch.

Alderete’s international campaign also starts on 15 November at 22:00, and he then plays again on 19 November at 00:30, but neither can be viewed in the UK at the moment.
