View: Enzo Le Fee simply sublime with 100% Sunderland showing v Middlesbrough
Sunderland secured a huge 3-2 victory against Middlesbrough on Monday night, with Enzo Le Fee standing firmly in the spotlight.
The Black Cats are enjoying a fruitful campaign to date and the initial signing of Le Fee brought plenty of excitement to Wearside.
His pedigree and reputation were cause for optimism, but very few would have anticipated the Frenchman to have made such a huge influence already.
If he can replicate his performance from the clash going forward, Sunderland may have the catalyst behind the push for the title.
Sunderland have a star with Enzo Le Fee
Given the reputation he has had in his career, the expectation levels for Le Fee were remarkably high but somehow, he has still managed to exceed them with his showing against Boro genuinely remarkable.
Via FotMob, the Frenchman completed 90 per cent of his 41 attempted passes, creating three chances in that period.
With an xA of 0.58, the quality of the chances created were very high and he was perhaps unfortunate to come away with only one assist.
One-hundred per cent of his shots hit the target, with every dribble he attempted being completed. His ability on the ball was eye-opening and Luke Ayling will not want to face him again after what he did to him.

Given his usual nature as a central midfielder, his defensive contributions were just as important, having won five ground duels and both of his aerial duels, making six defensive actions in total.
Perhaps the biggest thing to take from the game, though, is that he achieved all of this while playing out of position.
