Enzo Le Fee is in serious risk of losing Sunderland spot unless he shines vs Everton

Sunderland could go second in the Premier League with a win over Everton.

In their first Monday Night Football of the season, Sunderland take on Everton as the Black Cats host the Toffees at the Stadium of Light.

Regis Le Bris has been a big reason for Sunderland’s success, as threats of relegation back to the Championship now seem far away.

Enzo Le Fee played an instrumental role in helping Sunderland over the line in their push for promotion to the promised land last season, signing permanently after.

However, the Frenchman now finds himself at serious risk of losing game time if he fails to perform against Everton.

Enzo Le Fee has struggled in the Premier League

Le Fee was a marquee loan signing made in January, as Le Bris got his man back permanently in the summer transfer window.

So far this season, Le Bris has put his trust in Le Fee on many occasions; however, the latter now needs to up his output, starting against the Toffees.

Le Fee is predicted to start against Everton, as the Frenchman’s only piece of output in the Premier League has come from a penalty kick against Brentford in August.

His fellow French compatriot, Wilson Isidor, has been able to make the step up and is on fire in the Premier League.

Now, with summer signings waiting to make their mark, if Le Fee struggles to have an attacking input against the Toffees, Le Bris’ head could be turned to other options.

Regis Le Bris has lots of attacking choices at Sunderland

Chemsdine Talbi is in line for a start against the Blues after his late-winning strike against Chelsea last time out at Stamford Bridge.

Le Bris also has the likes of Simon Adingra, Bertrand Traore, and, soon enough, the returning Romain Mundle, who can all play on either flank.

Le Fee was brilliant in the Championship at being a playmaker and creating chances, but is failing to make the same impact in the Premier League.

Sunderland’s midfield is simply untouchable at the moment, and Le Fee’s best shot of starting is in attack, so he needs to make a statement against Everton, as competition won’t vanish overnight.
