England U21 make Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham announcement
England announced that Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham has received his first call-up to their Under-21 squad ahead of the November international break.
Jobe has been in excellent form under head coach Regis Le Bris and his performances have earned up a call-up to England Under-21’s, a step up from the Elite squad he was previously involved in.
It was announced in a post on X by England’s official account, on Friday, 8 November.
Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham can be a future England international
While an Under-21 call-up is deserved and shows the progression he has made over the last few months, Jobe has the potential to go to the very top of senior international football.
He has been a key figure in the Sunderland side up until his red card dismissal against QPR and will no doubt come back rejuvenated at the end of that suspension.
Alongside Chris Rigg, who has recently emerged as a Crystal Palace target, the duo have formed one of the best midfield partnerships in the Championship, leading the Black Cats to the top of the table.

Jobe was touted to play European football earlier in the season and if he continues to develop at the scry pace of which he is, there is a strong case for that claim to become reality.
The former Birmingham academy prospect will sit out of Sunderland’s next two encounters against Coventry and Millwall but should return for their crucial clash with current strugglers West Brom.
In other Sunderland news, Dan Ballard has been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the November international break.
