Eliezer Mayenda returns in three changes – Sunderland predicted XI v Norwich

Regis Le Bris could make three changes to his Sunderland XI for their clash with Norwich on Tuesday, with Eliezer Mayenda back in the starting 11.

Sunderland picked up another crucial three points in a 1-0 win against West Brom on Saturday afternoon, with Trai Hume once again the difference maker.

Le Bris’ side have all but cemented their spot in the top six, with a fourth-place finish looking nailed on given the point differential around them.

However, form and momentum will still be crucial ahead of the final six games, and the Frenchman could make three changes to keep that run going against the Canaries.

Alan Browne drops out of Sunderland XI

Le Bris has very few options when it comes to picking his defensive lineup, with it likely to stay the same at large from the win against West Brom aside from one change.

Anthony Patterson will remain in goal, with Hume, Luke O’Nien and Chris Mepham starting yet again, but Leo Hjelde could return in place of Alan Browne.

Sunderland are fourth in the league.

Dan Neil has been a mainstay for Sunderland this season and is likely to start in the six role again for the Black Cats, with Jobe Bellingham partnering Enzo Le Fee slightly ahead of him.

Le Fee made his return from injury against Albion and could take the place of Chris Rigg in midfield, despite what was a fairly fruitful showing at The Hawthorns.

Sunderland have fresh Romaine Mundle concern

Romaine Mundle’s return for Sunderland was welcomed only a few weeks ago, but a hamstring injury picked up in the latest win could see him out of action for several weeks yet again.

With Tommy Watson’s move to Brighton now sealed, Le Bris will likely be more focused on developing his own players, which could see Mayenda start on the left flank.

Patrick Roberts will take up his spot on the opposite wing, with Wilson Isidor leading the line. The Frenchman has failed to find the net in any of his last seven encounters, and will be hoping to break that duck against Norwich.
