Crystal Palace make history after what happened in Sunderland draw
Sunderland secured their first away Premier League point of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
For Regis Le Bris, Sunderland’s 0-0 draw away to Crystal Palace was a superb result, though for Oliver Glasner, it was less so.
After winning the FA Cup last season, it would be somewhat fair to assume that the Eagles expect to win their home games against the newly promoted teams.
However, mainly due to the heroics on display from Robin Roefs, Palace failed to achieve that, though the draw did mark a major milestone in their history.

Sunderland draw saw Crystal Palace break unbeaten record
For the first time in their history, Crystal Palace made it to ten Premier League games in a row unbeaten with their draw against the Black Cats.
While that is impressive in itself, it also showcases just how well Sunderland did to come away with something from Selhurst Park.
Even some of Europe’s elites have failed to do that over the last 12 months, and it is a sign of things to come for the Black Cats.
It will be their form at the Stadium of Light that makes the difference, but it is going to be crucial that they pick up points along the way away from home, and with one now on the board, the Wearsiders have something positive to build from.

Sunderland’s display vs Crystal Palace was almost textbook
The biggest positive to take from the opening four games is that Sunderland have not looked like a side that have just come up from the Championship, never mind via the play-offs.
Le Bris’ side have gone toe-to-toe for the large part, with West Ham and Palace, both of whom have won trophies in the last few years.
With that said, Sunderland are still missing the final piece of the jigsaw in the final third that could turn these kinds of draws into wins.
If Le Bris can find the remedy to that, Sunderland certainly look like a team that can steer clear of the bottom three by the end of the campaign.
