Clement Bischoff earns rave reviews after £5.1m Sunderland news – ‘Sensational’

Sunderland have reportedly shown an interest in signing Clement Bischoff from Brondby.

With the appointment of Florent Ghisolfi seemingly imminent, Sunderland have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, though very little has arrived in the form of recruitment.

Enzo Le Fee remains their only signing, though several others have been linked with a move to the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats gear up for their first Premier League campaign in eight years.

One of the names to have been mentioned is that of Bischoff, who has caught the eye over the last few months.

Signing a replacement for Jobe Bellingham will be high up on their list of priorities, though Sunderland will also need to bolster their attacking options if they are to have a chance of staying in the Premier League next season.

The Danish youth international has caught the eye on international duty after the links to Sunderland, with fans all around Europe expressing just how impressed they have been with his displays.

Sunderland must explore European market over English market

Signing players from England has its pros, but certainly cons as well.

Prices are massively inflated, and by scouting in other countries, there are some absolute bargain buys to be had.

Sunderland fans will have to look no further than Eliezer Mayenda for proof of that, with players like Bischoff also worth looking at.

If the Black Cats are to have any chance of avoiding relegation, they need to recruit well and ensure that they sign players with a mixture of experience and potential, which is where their success was found last season.

Whether a deal for Bischoff is to be pursued remains to be seen, though after his recent performances, Sunderland will undoubtedly face some stiff competition for his signature.
