Chris Sutton delivers ‘bad news’ to Chelsea fans as Sunderland prediction made
Sunderland will be up against it when they travel to face Chelsea this Saturday.
Aside from Omar Alderete’s injury blow, Sunderland head into Saturday’s clash at Stamford Bridge in a very good position.
The Black Cats secured all three points at home to Wolves last time out, taking them up to 14 points for the season after just eight games.
However, a trip to Chelsea poses a huge challenge for Sunderland, with Chris Sutton having his say ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Sunderland predicted to lose, but not for the reason you think
Sunderland’s record against Chelsea isn’t exactly inspiring, but they are there to be broken.
Should that be the case, it will be one of many times this season alone the Black Cats have done the unthinkable, though Sutton cannot forecast that happening.
Sutton has predicted Sunderland to lose just about every game so far this season, and with the Black Cats sitting seventh, he has been proven wrong on many occasions.
Unsurprisingly, this weekend is no different, with Sutton predicting yet another defeat for the Black Cats, but for a slightly different reason.
Via BBC Sport, he said: “Sunderland are extremely well organised but I’d still fancy Chelsea to find a way through, which is probably bad news for Blues supporters.

I don’t want to sound too negative about how my predictions are going, but I got Sunderland wrong every week, even when I was doing well, and at the moment I am doing badly.
I am going to write the Black Cats off again now, though, because I think we are already at the stage where their fans want me to. They know it means there is a good chance of them winning.“

Sunderland vs Chelsea head-to-head
Sunderland and Chelsea have faced off against each other 125 times in all competitions, dating all the way back to 19087 when the Black Cats secured a 3-0 victory.
Their record since, though, certainly goes against them.
The Blues have won on 61 occasions, while the Wearsiders have tasted victory on just 42 occasions.

In the last 24 years, Sunderland have beaten Chelsea just four times, with their most recent win arriving in 2016.
Wahbi Khazri, Fabio Borini and Jermain Defoe were on the scoresheet for Sunderland, on what was a momentous occasion at the Stadium of Light.
A repeat of that result would go down very nicely this Saturday.
