Chelsea share important announcement ahead of upcoming Sunderland clash at Stamford Bridge
Sunderland picked up their first away win of the season against Nottingham Forest on the weekend.
Regis Le Bris’ side showed their work rate at the City Ground as they continue to enjoy life back in the Premier League.
Currently in fifth spot, having lost just one of their opening six games, Sunderland are starting to change the opinion around their survival chances.
Upcoming opponents Chelsea are already three points behind the Black Cats, with two fixtures to play before the two meet at Stamford Bridge on 25 October.

Sunderland fans warned of transport disruption in London
Chelsea announced on their club website on 29 September that there will be some disruptions regarding travel on the day of the game on 25 October.
The Underground’s District Line will be closed west of Embankment Station and on the whole of the Edgware Road branch, including the line down to Wimbledon.
This means there will be no trains running to Stamford Bridge or any nearby stations along that line.
The Circle Line is also going to be affected and is closed between Edgware Road and Aldgate (via Victoria) for the league fixture.

Chelsea have advised that travelling supporters should make themselves aware of the walking routes to and from South Kensington, Earl’s Court, and Hammersmith stations, where they will find the best travel alternatives.
- Sunderland last beat Chelsea in May 2016
- The two sides haven’t met since May 2017
- Sunderland haven’t won at Stamford Bridge in 11 years.
Sunderland have chance to pull off Premier League scalps
After picking up their first away win, points away from the Stadium of Light could be the deciding factor in continuing this spectacular start.
The next two grounds for the travelling support to tick off will be Old Trafford and the aforementioned Stamford Bridge.
Results against these two clubs would well and truly get the Mackem party going.
Le Bris‘ side have had a favourable run of fixtures to kick the season off, but the chances to really make a statement are on the horizon.
However, you can only beat what is in front of you, and a number of players have impressed for Sunderland in the process.
It’s an exciting time to be part of the Red and White Army, and the teams used to being at the top will need to be at their best if they are to stop them.
