Brighton vs Sunderland result predicted by supercomputer
Sunderland are back on the road this weekend to take on Brighton.
Sunderland have the bragging rights over Newcastle once again, after Nick Woltemade’s own-goal saw them extend their unbeaten league run against the Magpies to 10 games.
The Black Cats are one of five English clubs who are yet to lose on home soil this season, with most of their frustration, as little as there has been, coming from their travels.
However, that is what awaits them on Saturday, as they prepare to take on Brighton at the Amex.

Brighton expected to maintain 21-year record vs Sunderland
Given how long Sunderland had been out of the top flight prior to this season, there are several grounds they have rarely visited, and several teams they have rarely faced.
Brighton are one of them, with the last meeting between these two sides coming back in 2011, when Craig Mackail-Smith’s injury-time winner saw the Seagulls advance in the League Cup.
Sunderland’s last win against Brighton was back in 2004, with Julio Arca and Liam Lawrence on the scoresheet for the Black Cats.
However, their wait to record their first win in over two decades is expected to go on beyond this weekend, as per the latest Opta supercomputer predictions.

The hosts have been awarded a 60.2 per cent chance of taking all three points, while Sunderland are the clear underdogs, again, with an 18.9 chance of victory.

Sunderland unlikely to be reunited with play-off hero
Tommy Watson left Sunderland as a legend, despite the fact that he agreed terms to join Brighton in the middle of the Black Cats’ push for promotion.
His goal against Sheffield United at Wembley started this incredible journey that the Mackems are on, but it’s unlikely that the travelling supporters will have a chance to show their gratitude.
Watson has been out since November with an injury and is expected to miss this weekend’s clash with his former club.
However, after Simon Adingra missed out on a place in the Ivory Coast’s AFCON squad, he will be available for the Black Cats and will no doubt be looking to show his former side what they are missing.
