Brian Brobbey starts in five changes – Sunderland predicted XI vs Wolves

Sunderland are back in Premier League action this weekend when they host Wolves.

Off the back of Sunderland’s 2-0 defeat to Man United, and yet another interntional break, Regis Le Bris’ side are back at the Stadium of Light this weekend.

Wolves make the trip to Wearside, having yet to win a game so far this season, sitting rock bottom of the division after seven games.

The Black Cats have yet to lose a game at home on home soil, with five changes anticipated this weekend as they look to maintain that unbeaten run.

Dan Ballard returns for injured Omar Alderete

Robin Roefs has been sensational for Sunderland this season, and just as he has all campaign, he will play a crucial role at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

Omar Alderete picked up an injury in a needless friendly for Paraguay, meaning Dan Ballard could return to the starting 11 for the first time since his injury against Burnley at the start of the season.

He could be partnered by Nordi Mukiele, with Lutsharel Geertruida also coming in for Arthur Masuaku who struggled last time out at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman’s inclusion could see him start at right-back, with Trai Hume over on the opposite side of defence.

Granit Xhaka is the only interntional midfielder that finished the interntional break unscathed, with Noah Sadiki and Habib Diarra set to miss out.

It could see Dan Neil start his first Premier League game, alongside Enzo Le Fee in his more favoured position.

Brian Brobbey to make full Sunderland debut

Chemsdine Talbi was named on the bench at Old Trafford, but he is likely to return to the starting 11 this weekend, with Simon Adingra on the opposite flank.

Adingra was left frustrated against Man United, having been withdrawn from the game in the first half as Le Bris introduced Ballard.

Wilson Isidor has impressed for Sunderland, but having failed to find the back of the net on his last two outings, he could be replaced by Brobbey.

The Black Cats spent around £20million to bring him to Wearside this summer, and, in theory, a home clash against winless Wolves should be the perfect opportunity for him to get the chance to showcase his ability.
