Brian Brobbey made Premier League history for Sunderland vs Bournemouth
Brian Brobbey’s impact was telling once again as Sunderland secured a huge three points at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Sunderland secured a 3-2 victory at home to Bournemouth, despite going 2-0 down in the frist 15 minutes of the game.
Goals from Amine Adli and Tyler Adams made it look like the Cherries were going to coast to an away win, before Enzo Le Fee and Bertrand Traore clawed Sunderland back into the game.
Brobbey, after coming on for Wilson Isidor, scored the winner, and by doing so, he has led the Black Cats to do something for the first time ever in their history.
Sunderland come from 2-0 down to win in the Premier League
Regis Le Bris has done a superb job as Sunderland manager, and the way he has shaped his team into having the character they have had this season is miraculous.
Even at 2-0 down, there was a feeling that this game could swing in Sunderland’s favour, and after Brobbey’s second-half winner, it certainly did.
However, that was the first time in Premier League history that Sunderland have found themselves 2-0 down and went on to win the game.
It’s a testament to the belief not only of the squad, but also at the Stadium of Light, with Sunderland yet to lose a game at home this season.

The Black Cats will celebrate the win over the weekend, but with an away trip to Liverpool on Wednesday, Le Bris now has a clear decision to make.
Brian Brobbey has to lead the line vs Liverpool
Brobbey is yet to start a game for Sunderland, but on his last two substitute appearances at the Stadium of Light, he has scored two crucial goals.
His hold-up play has been sublime, and his ability to be in the right place at the right time has seen Sunderland pick up four points as a result of him.
Isidor has adapted well to life in the Premier League, but Le Bris can’t ignore the confidence that Brobbey will be feeling now.
Liverpool have looked vulnerable this season, and the Dutchman’s presence in the final third could be what the Black Cats need to unsettle them further.
