Bayern Munich consider Brian Brobbey transfer as £42million Sunderland prediction made
Bayern Munich are said to have been monitoring Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey.
And for good reason. The former Ajax striker has adapted well to life in the Premier League with the Black Cats, having scored six goals in 16 starts.
While his goal return may not stand out as spectacular, it’s the attributes he provides away from that which have proven to be of use to Sunderland, with his incredible strength and work rate crucial to their success.
Brobbey has already earned a recall to the Netherlands squad, with a place in their World Cup squad likely, though his form has also attracted interest.
Bundesliga giants Bayern are said to be keeping an eye on the Dutchman.
Sunderland likely to profit from unlikely Brian Brobbey sale
Given just how much he has improved as the season has gone on, it seems unlikely Sunderland would entertain any offers for Brobbey.
And if they did, it would have to be something deemed far too good to turn down.

The report from Miguel Delaney states that the Black Cats could be in line to receive a fee worth more than double what they paid for him in the summer, which would be around £42million.
It’s claimed that Bayern retain “strong interest” in the 24-year-old, who has previously been mooted for moves to some of Europe’s other elites.

Sunderland must avoid falling into their own trap
Sunderland’s success is built on their recruitment, and more so, their ability to sell players at a profit and sell them on.
With players like Robin Roefs, Noah Sadiki and previously Jobe Bellingham, that strategy works, but for more senior stars like Brobbey, it would make little sense.
The Dutchman is getting better with each game that he plays for the Black Cats, and to ruin that development by offloading him in the summer would be a mistake that far too many clubs in a similar position to Sunderland have made before.
And that’s even before considering just how hard it is to sign a striker capable of scoring goals in the Premier League.
