Arthur Masuaku catastrophic, 9/10 superb – Sunderland player ratings vs Man United
Sunderland fell to a 2-0 defeat against Man United on Saturday.
Off the back of Sunderland’s impressive 1-0 win away to Nottingham Forest, the Black Cats were back on the road on Saturday to face a Man United side in turmoil.
Ruben Amorim sack rumours started to emerge ahead of the game, forcing even more importance on the Red Devils getting a result, and it was the hosts that took the lead through Mason Mount.
Benjamin Sesko doubled the hosts’ advantage after 30 minutes, continuing their dominance at Old Trafford.
Sunderland thought they had a penalty when Trai Hume went down under challenge from Sesko, only to see the decision overturned.
The second half fizzled out, with the Red Devils easing their way to a 2-0 win.

Robin Roefs’ heroics not enough for Sunderland
Robin Roefs has been sensational since he joined Sunderland, and despite the result, it was no different at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman made a handful of good saves in the early stages of the clash, including one at full-stretch to deny Bruno Fernandes.

A goalkeeper will very rarely win you games, but they can certainly keep you in it, and that was exactly what Roefs did for the Black Cats.
The scoreline will deceive him, but he was once again at the very top of his game against the Red Dervils.
Arthur Masuaku dreadful at Old Trafford
Arthur Masuaku was brought in as a utility player, but given Reinildo’s sending off against Aston Villa, he has been starting at left-back.
At Old Trafford, the Red Devils targeted the former West Ham defender, who failed to stand up to challenge on far too many occasions, and was a liability from the first minute.

Amad, who is well-known for his desire to cut inside, was allowed to do so almost every time he got the ball, with Masuaku far too slow to react.
Reinildo still has one game left on his suspension, but after his display at Old Trafford, it’s hard to see Masuaku remaining in the side after the international break.
