Arthur Masuaku and two others who could leave Sunderland in January
Sunderland will almost certainly lose a handful of players in the January window.
Plenty of games are to be played between now and then, including December’s Tyne-Wear derby, though plans will already be in place at the Stadium of Light for the winter transfer window.
Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has already stated his ambitions for Sunderland, and they will be met with a level of business expected in January.
However, new arrivals won’t be possible without a handful of exits, and Arthur Masuaku is one who could make way as a result.

Sunderland could lose Arthur Masuaku already
Masuaku joined Sunderland as a free agent in the summer, having spent the previous campaign impressing for Besiktas.
However, the DR Congo international has barely had a look in, and when he has, he has done little to showcase his worth in the Premier League.
Rumours emerged last week stating the former West Ham defender wants to return to Turkey, and given he has just six months left on his deal on Wearside, there could be an agreement to be reached.

Dennis Cirkin’s return is imminent, and that would likely demote Masuaku down to third choice at the Stadium of Light.
Matteo Guendouzi could replace Dan Neil
Sunderland remain keen on signing Matteo Guendouzi in January, and if so, that would push Dan Neil further down the pecking order.
Even without the Frenchman, Neil has yet to start a Premier League game for the Black Cats, and he has only played a handful of minutes towards the latter stages of games.
The Englishman is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, and the lack of gametime makes it seem unlikely that he would want to sign a new deal.
As a result, there is every chance that Sunderland look to cash in on Neil early, which would also serve as a huge boost to their PSR position.

Eliezer Mayenda could leave on loan
Despite often being the hero last season, Eliezer Mayenda has struggled to break back into the team in the Premier League.
After his opening day goal against West Ham, Mayenda has only started two games since, with Wilson Isidor and Brian Brobbey both ahead of him.
Added to that, links to Santiago Gimenez suggest that Sunderland want to sign another striker in January, which would see the Spaniard as the fourth choice.
If so, and if the Black Cats still see him as a striker, there is a chance he could leave on loan, though Le Bris may also look to utilise him on the wing, given the lack of depth there.
