Sunderland beat Brentford 2-1 following Wilson Isidor's last-minute winner.

Having fallen behind in the 77th-minute, goals from Enzo Le Fee and Isidor gave the Sunderland their second win of the Premier League season.

Le Fee was outstanding against Brentford, and despite being relegated to the bench for the first two Premier League matches, his performance against Brentford shows that he is more than capable to return to the starting lineup.

Le Fee was not the only player to put in an assured performance, with a certain new signing shining for Regis Le Bris' side.

Nordi Mukiele excellent for Sunderland vs Brentford

Mukiele's first Premier League game for Sunderland went incredibly well, with the experienced defender leading the defence well throughout the match.

Having played in ferocious atmospheres during his time in Germany and France, Mukiele wasn't intimidated by the Stadium of Light atmosphere at all, and was a calming presence for his fellow defenders.

He statistically stood out, winning 75 per cent of his duels and completed 89 per cent of his passes.

If he continues to perform like this, then he could become a real coup, with Mukiele costing Sunderland £9.5million.

Why Sunderland may not need Jhon Lucumi after all

Mukiele and Omar Alderete formed a solid partnership at the heart of defence, sparking the question whether Sunderland really need another centre-back.

With Jenson Seelt ready to step in, and the possibility that new left-back Reinildo could play at centre-back, Sunderland don't need to panic following Dan Ballard's injury.

Football commentator Ian Darke believes Sunderland shouldn't buy another defender, with the club heavily linked with Bologna's Lucumi.

Lucumi was dropped for Bologna's last game against Como, and this could hint to the fact that Lucumi is on the verge of moving to Sunderland on Deadline Day.

Yet whether that is a necessary move is something that could be easily disputed.
