View: Jobe is running the Championship for Sunderland, an exit can’t be considered

Jobe Bellingham has been the best player for Sunderland this season and the club simply can’t afford to even consider his exit in January.

The Black Cats find themselves in an excellent position to achieve promotion this season and they have their youth-orientated approach to thank for their success.

Several young players have made a difference for Sunderland this season but perhaps none more so than Jobe who has earned European interest as a result of his quality (The Sun).

Jobe is key to any future successes at the club and any exit in January can’t possibly be considered no matter the price tag.

Sunderland midfielder Jobe continues to dominate the Championship

Jobe has proven to be the match-winner in both of the Black Cats’ recent encounters with goals against Swansea and Norwich, with Sunderland keeping up with the likes of Leeds United and Sheffield United in the promotion race.

His performance against Norwich was one of his best of the season and his 88 per cent pass accuracy in the clash proved crucial to the three points (FotMob).

However, his impact throughout the full season has been magical with seven-goal contributions to his name from a midfield role in which he has thrived.

His four goals have arrived from an xG (expected goals) of just 1.53, showcasing his ability to score big goals in big games and he has single-handedly won plenty of points for the Mackems this season.

But his impact goes far beyond his goals with his all-round play exceptional. With 15 completed dribbles from midfield, only 6.4 per cent of players in the same position have bettered him in the Championship.

Defensively, Jobe has also contributed well having won a remarkable 119 duels this campaign, 32 of them in the air.

You can’t put a price on the impact he has for Sunderland and that needs to be considered in January ahead of inevitable transfer interest.
